20 minute pamper routine

You come home from a rough day at work and all you want to do is collapse on the couch. Trouble is, there's that dinner party you promised you'd be at. No relaxing for you, right? Wrong.

Summer ingredients:
A quiet space to be alone with a bit of natural light and a cool breeze
Bath/foot spa/bucket to put your feet in comfortably filled with cold water
Peppermint foot fizz
Jazz* 15 minute playlist
Scented candles
Fresh garden flowers
A comfy seat/pillow for your head
Body lotion/moisturiser
A cool, fresh face mask lotion
Icy lemonade

Winter ingredients:
A quiet space to be alone - towels or bath mats on the floor will help keep in the warmth
Bath/foot spa/bucket to put your feet in comfortably, filled with hot water
Bubble bath
Muscle soothing body wash
Classical* 15 minute playlist
Scented candles
A comfy seat/pillow for your head
Body lotion/moisturiser
A wet towel fresh out of the microwave
A mug of hot chocolate with mini marshmallows

How to relax:
1. While the tub is filling up, put the music on, light the candles and make yourself a drink.
2. Pour some bath crystals in and soak away while sipping your delicious beverage and pampering your face with a cucumber mask or warm towel.
3. Give yourself plenty of time to finish your drink, then pat yourself dry and rub in some body lotion.
4. Put some slippers on and continue resting comfortably for another 5 minutes until sufficiently content.
5. Smile and keep smiling while you continue on your way, on time :-)

* you can play whatever music you like, but trying new genres of music, especially instrumental, may help you relax just as well if not better!
